"I nearly gave up the search for my soulmate until my friend suggested that I try Zillove!"
Five years ago, I lost my husband in a car accident. Being a widow and a single mom at the age of 35, it was hard for me to make time for a social life. A good friend suggested that I try zillove.
After having my profile posted for several weeks and receiving numerous responses, I finally got one that stood out from all the rest, and he was kind; I was overjoyed.
Our emails were turning into novels.
Oddly enough, my aunt Dana was always bitter and obsessed with tearing me down. She's always made snide comments about me "getting lucky" while she got stuck with losers and did not welcome my finding someone kind and my happiness.
After writing for about a week, I decided to share my phone number with him because our emails were becoming too lengthy to manage. He didn't call me the first day, and I was surprised. I thought to myself, "Just another man playing games.
Finally, he emailed me the next day to apologize for not calling and to let me know that he was planning how to meet me since he had not dated any woman online. I was shocked because he told me that he was looking for the best way to get to know me. Hence, his planning.
I let him know that there's no way I will end our friendship because of his good and positive internal thoughts about us. I now wanted to hear from him more. We continued talking, and every day turned into several times a day. He began sending roses and gifts to my job to say "Hi" or "I am thinking of you." He was sweeping me off my feet from the other side of the world!
The big plans
People are skeptical, especially my aunt Dana, of course, but I know that I have found my soul mate, or should I say he found me!. Now, after five long months of communicating online, exchanging plenty of roses, using webcams, and making satellite phone calls, we were going to meet for the first time. After our second meeting, he asked me to marry him! However, I was not ready to let Dana ruin my new love and wedding.
We will be life partners -- supporting each other in everything, and, most importantly, never taking for granted the time we spend together, because we will always remember when we wanted to be together and couldn't.
After our second meeting, we hit it off immediately. This is the most amazing man I have ever met. Our opinions and views on relationships and family are the basis of our successful relationship. Two months ago, we got married, and I couldn't be happier. During the wedding day, everything was perfect. After the ceremony, I danced with my grandma, as my grandpa had passed away. People were emotional. Now, we are buying a house, and he will be living with me for good.
